Panbros Salt is a family owned company that takes pride in the production of the finest natural sea salt. We are the first Salt Company in West Africa founded in 1958 which is located at Weija, in the Greater Accra Region, on the majestic coast line of the Gulf of Guinea. Panbros Salt Industries Limited is not only the oldest, but also one of the largest salt producing companies in the whole of West Africa.

The company was incorporated in March 1958 by the Panagiotopoulos Brothers, originally from Greece. Hence, the first part of the company’s name “Pan” which is derived from their name Panagiotopoulos, and “Bros”, from Brothers. Initially, the Brothers acquired permits to produce salt in Elmina and Apam, in the Central Region of Ghana. Once those leases expired, they settled on producing salt from Panbros’ current location at Mendskrom- Weija.

Thanks to over half a century of proven experience in the industry, Panbros has established itself as a thriving and leading force in Salt production and distribution in West Africa, thus gaining the trust of loyal customers both in Ghana and its neighbouring countries.
